Winter League is a great way to get started in the sport of practical shooting. These are not sanctioned USPSA matches, so no classifiers, but we do follow the rules.
A semi-automatic pistol that is 9mm or
larger or a revolver that is .38 special
or larger, belt holster, a couple ammo
pouches, magazines or speed loaders
and 100 rounds of ammo is all you need to
get started. The pictures on the
FAQ page can give you an idea on gear.
Everyone, including spectators, must wear hearing and eye protection.
This is indoor shooting, we even turn on the heat. If you can't make it by 6:00 don't worry. We usually run two squads and you can shoot with the second squad.
Youngsters who exhibit responsible gun handling and can safely load, unload and holster a weapon may shoot. We don't have an age limit either way, safe shooters are always welcome.
There is a small match fee, $10 for Thursday night league.
